Fertility & Pregnancy Support
With as many as 1 in 5 couples experiencing difficulty conceiving, and 1 in 4 pregnancies ending in miscarriage support around fertility and subsequent pregnancy has never been more needed.
Experiencing fertility challenges can take a huge toll, both physically and emotionally, whilst having a negative impact on the many different areas of life. Infertility can often leading to withdrawal, isolation and a disconnect from our lives as we doubt ourselves, our intuition, our instincts, our future and our worth.

Whilst we have incredible access to medical care and interventions like IVF if and when we need it, emotional health is often ignored or not considered, despite the research showing that non-invasive, inexpensive, natural mind-body techniques like hypnotherapy considerably improve success rates, coping ability and quality of life.
Having experienced infertility, recurrent miscarriages, high-risk pregnancies, premature and emergency birth, Kate knows all too well the roller coaster of emotions, the immense pressure, emotional and physical strain. This is the care Kate wishes she had on her journey - so she created it.

Fertility Support
For obvious reasons, this is an area very close to Kate's heart, it was the driving force behind her change of career back in 2018. As such, she's completed many additional specialised trainings throughout the years specific to fertility, pregnancy and birth.
Kate sees herself as a 'Fertility Doula' to fertility clients (doula meaning 'with woman' or 'woman servant'), as such, she aims to provide emotional support, guidance, education as well as coping techniques and strategies for the journey. This support is centred around a focus of holding a safe and nurturing space for clients to come as they are and know they are seen, understood, validated, held and gently guided during an incredibly vulnerable time. The goal is to provide tailored support to reduce the emotional and physical impact of the journey, improve fertility outcomes and to not only enable clients to survive but thrive on the journey.
Pregnancy Support
Hypnotherapy can also support the physical and emotional aspects of change from early to late pregnancy.
Hypnotherapy can support those who;
- Are experiencing anxiousness due to previous miscarriage or loss
- Have been diagnosed with a known complications or labeled 'high risk'
- Feel anxious in general and want techniques and strategies to manage
- Are concerned about becoming a parent and want support
- Experiencing intense pregnancy symptoms like hyperemesis gravidarum (severe nausea and vomiting)
- Struggling to connect with their pregnancy and unborn baby

What Does the Research Say?
Excitingly, there have been some incredible research outcomes on the way hypnotherapy and mind+body therapies can positively impact fertility, pregnancy and birth;

-
In a 1993 comparative study into the psychological impact of infertility, female subjects had global anxiety and depression scores equivalent to cancer, cardiac rehabilitation and hypertension patients.
-
A 2006 case control study found the impact of hypnosis during IVF embryo transfer doubled the implantation success rates of participants.
-
Studies indicate that 'infertile' women utilising mind + body techniques have a 42-55% higher conception rate
-
Women with repression when treated showed a 60% viable pregnancy rate within 6 months compared to 24% when depression went untreated.
-
A 2014 study into the effects of complementary therapies and alternative medicine found hypnosis effective in dealing with the emotional stress and depression associated with assisted reproductive technology.
-
Studies have found that women who have experienced recurrent miscarriage who sought professional emotional support through the antenatal period had a significantly higher pregnancy success rate than those who didn't.
-
A study published in 2012 by the Department of Reproductive Medicine in China found that women with lower norepinephrine and cortisol levels (stress hormone) at the time of ART retrieval and transfer had increased pregnancy and live birth rates.
-
In a 2022 volume of the Journal of Surgery and Medicine concluded that "Hypnotherapy should be regarded as the treatment of choice in hyperemesis gravidarum, not only by increasing women’s emotional well-being during pregnancy but also reducing unnecessary and prolonged hospitalisations."
